Job Description:

This position is grant funded with a current salary range of $52,500--$59,500. The YouthBuild Construction Site Supervisor reports to the YouthBuild Project Manager and is responsible for providing work site safety including daily safety briefings on the worksite, OSHA training to include proper and safe use of all hand tools, power tools, equipment, and machinery. Participates in the development of project-based curriculum, monitors and supervises hands-on construction and/or renovation of residential properties, ensuring physical site access, ensuring that instructional materials and supplies are available and ready for use, developing lesson plans and activities according to the training timeline for each cohort group, and providing needed equipment, space, and lesson plans on hand to deliver training as scheduled. Additionally, the YouthBuild Construction Site Supervisor provides transportation of participants to and from the training location to the construction worksites.Minimum Qualifications

• Three years professional journey level construction experience working with all elements of housing construction including demolition, rough framing, roofing, drywall, finish carpentry, sheet metal, electrical, plumbing, painting, and masonry.
• Experience reading and interpreting instructions, diagrams, sketches, and blueprints.
• Three years of experience in the construction trade as a teacher or instructor providing worksite and equipment safety training including OSHA regulations. Ability to facilitate educational workshops in a classroom setting.
• Supervisory experience to include managing staff, assigning, and reviewing work and providing feedback.
• Experience working with young adults ages 16 to 24 from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and educational backgrounds.
• OSHA 30 certified with first aid and CPR training.
• Must have valid Alabama driver's license; maintain valid license throughout employment.
